Calico Pet Sitting, Ltd. provides regular dog walking and pet sitting services in the following areas of Colorado: Highlands Ranch, and parts of Littleton, Greenwood Village, Centennial, and Lone Tree; and in the following zip codes: 80129, 80126, 80130, 80124, 80112, 80122, 80121, 80120, and 80113. Our service area includes neighborhoods East of Santa Fe, West of I-25, North of the Back Country in Highlands Ranch, and areas of Greenwood Village and Cherry Hills Village. Yes—we are fully insured and bonded. We understand the importance of trust and security when inviting someone into your home. That’s why we operate with the highest standards of professionalism and care, so you can feel confident your pets and property are in responsible, experienced hands.
What is a Registration Meeting?
We require a Registration Meeting for all new clients. At the meeting, you will meet one of our pet sitting professionals and go over your pet’s routine, feeding, and medication schedule, if applicable. We will spend time answering all of your questions and get to know your pet. New client meetings are always scheduled for thirty minutes in order to allow plenty of time. Because we need to compensate our team members, all Registration Meetings are $25.
Why do you use lock boxes?
When it comes to pet care, trust and safety are everything. One common concern for many pet parents is key management—how to give your pet sitter or dog walker access to your home without the stress of handing over a key. At Calico Pet Sitting, Ltd., we use lock boxes. It’s a secure, convenient solution that keeps your key accessible while giving you full control and peace of mind. You are welcome to use your own lock box or buy one from us for $30.
How do you take payment?
For new clients, payment is due in full on the day of your Registration Meeting. For existing clients, payment is charged 7-14 days before the start of service.
Auto Pay: Your credit card info is saved in an encrypted format in our secure online system. For clients with consistent WALK or VISIT schedules, we will charge three days before the end of each month. With this method your services will be given priority & will be immediately booked upon request. For clients who reserve as-needed services, your payment will be due 7-14 days before the service begins. Calico Pet Sitting, Ltd. only accepts credit card payments via our secure online system. It is the responsibility of each client to ensure you keep your default credit card updated.
Is there an additional charge on holidays?
In order to fairly compensate our staff for taking time away from their families on holidays, additional rates apply. Do to the very high demand for our services, do not delay putting in your service request. Despite the broad reach our pet care team has, these dates will book full.
Major Holidays Include: New Years Eve, New Years, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas. Holidays that incur our additional charge per visit are at the discretion of Calico Pet Sitting, Ltd.
Additional $15 (subject to change) added to each VISIT or WALK on holidays.
Additional $25 (subject to change) added to each OVERNIGHT STAY on holidays
How do cancellations work?
The sooner you can let us know, the better! We understand that life happens and sometimes you need to cancel services. Of course, nobody likes to have to pay for a service they did not use. However, we employ a great staff who love and care for your animals, and sometimes this means you have to pay for a short-notice cancellation. In order to provide the absolute best care to our Clients, keep our team members happy & productive, and ensure our office is operating as efficiently as possible, we have implemented a Cancellation Policy on all appointments.
All Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Club Members: (clients with 2+ services/week and pay on a continuous, monthly basis)
- Cancellations made on the calendar day of service will be billed in full (100%).
- Cancellations made by on the calendar day before service will be billed at 50% of the scheduled service.
- There is no charge for cancellations made 48 hours or more before service.
- Changes in date and/or time made to a reservation on the calendar day of, or the calendar day before a service is scheduled, are subject to the same policy as cancellations.
- If your sitter is already on the way to your visit or already at your home, no credit will be issued.
As-Needed Dog Walks and Pet Sitting visits (visits which are not regularly reocurring):
- Cancellations made on the calendar day of service will be billed in full (100%).
- Cancellations made the calendar day before service will also be billed in full (100%).
- There is no charge for cancellations made three or more calendar days before service.
- Changes in date and/or time made to a reservation on the calendar day of, or the calendar day before a service is scheduled, are subject to the same policy as cancellations.
- If the client leaves late or returns early and cancels services, they will be billed in full (100%)
- If your sitter is already on the way to your visit or already at your home, no credit will be issued.

Can you give my pet medication?
Yes, we have experience giving many different types of medication to pets, which include: insulin shots, glucose level checks, and subq fluids; pills and tablets, ointments and creams, drops, and sprays. There is no extra charge for us to give medications.
Will you water the garden or inside plants?
Yes, we provide both house plant and garden watering. If your garden is large or you have a number of plants, please book an appropriate length visit on the days we will be watering; this way, your sitter has adequate time to do a good job.
